The film takes off with Inder (Abhishek Bachchan) performing a musical concert in Bangkok, where the song shows his flashback troubled childhood. As a child, Inder has grown up with a lot of bitterness having constant fights with his parents. Bhalla (Rishi Kapoor) is Inder’s father who runs a bakery in Kasol.After Inder graduates, his dad expects him to join his bakery business but Inder is interested in music. Not being able to convince his dad, Inder leaves his house and returns 10 years later when he receives a call stating him to collect his share from the bakery ownership.This is a trap set by Cheema (Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub Khan), who has lent huge sum of money to Bhalla and is now wanting to take over his house and bakery. In the meanwhile, Inder learns that his mother Pammi (Supriya Pathak) is suffering from Alzheimers disease. Inder along with Nimmi (Asin), who is madly in love with him, flew down to India to meet his parents.Inder along with his girlfriend Nimmi and parents now go on a road trip which is equally messed up as the storyline of the film. Eventually, will Inder overcome his phobia of seeing relationships in a bad light and get back with his family together forms the rest of the story.
