The story is set mostly in a bar, the Panchami Bar, owned and run by Lopez (Joy Mathew), who seems to be a Shylock in his own way. He loves money and money alone and wouldn’t even think twice before robbing even his own employees of their hard-earned money by fining them for trivial reasons. In the Panchami Bar works Satheesh (Sreenivasan), who is running around to arrange the money needed for the surgery of his son Adithyan (Master Aaryan), who is hospitalized in a critical condition. Manian (Lal), who sells lottery tickets and has his own way of getting things done, is a close friend of Satheesh, almost like a member of the family. Jaya (Mythili), known to all as ‘Touchings’, goes about selling snacks and other things to Panchami Bar and other such bars. These characters and the other many characters who frequent Panchami Bar take the story forward. While each of them seems to have his or her own story, the focus mainly is on the attempts by Satheesh, Manian, Jaya and others to get the money to save the boy’s life. What all happens consequent to their efforts forms the crux of the plot.
